Janejai spent her winter break on the white sand beaches of Tulum, Mexico this year. I was jealous. She was kind enough to bring back some Mexican Jello brand jello from the Playa del Carmen Walmart. The flan looked amazing (and came with an exciting little packet of caramel sauce) so I made it first. I followed the directions on the box but added a 1/2 cup of sugar to the mix because I didn’t think it was sweet enough for my American taste buds. I’m not too proud to say that I went to town on this jello as soon as I finished photographing it. Yum!! Thank you Janejai.
Looks just like mom used to make 🙂 Will have to send you some dutch goodies for you to play with. I’m thinking stroopwafel jello…caramelly jello w/ cookie bits? Hmmm…
Mmmmm, yes, Stroopwafels!! Those would make a great “crust” for a cream based jello!
